For nearly forty years, the Baynes family has studied, collected and dealt in traditional North Carolina pottery and other arts and crafts. Parts of their large personal collection are now being selectively marketed through Baynes and Company Picture Framing and Art. Pottery includes pieces by such famous makers as Jugtown; Pisgah Forest; Batchelder; Royal Crown; members of the Cole, Teague, Craven, Owen, Brown and Craig families and other traditional potters. Western North Carolina woodcarvings, Cherokee baskets and art, Biltmore Industries items, other Appalachian arts and crafts and parts of an extensive research and reference library are also being offered. |
